WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Freshman Mckinley Battle from the Winston-Salem State University women's tennis team has been named the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Women's Tennis Player of the Week, the league announced Tuesday afternoon.

Battle delivered a strong performance against Division I opponent North Carolina A&T State University, securing Winston-Salem State's lone point in singles play. Battle earned a straight set victory with a score of 6-2, 6-2, highlighting her ability to compete against top level competition. 

Battle and the Rams are back in action today, Tuesday, April 7 competing at Shaw University for a 2:00 p.m. match.
