CHARLOTTE, N.C. – For a third time this season, Vanessa Jones from the Winston-Salem State University women's cross country team was named the Food Lion Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Women's Runner of the Week for week three, announced by the league office Wednesday afternoon.

Jones, a sophomore from Winston-Salem, North Carolina remains undefeated in the conference after seeing five schools this season thus far. She won this weekend with a 35 second gap to the next competitor finishing with a time of 20:30.84 on a tough course. She also helped the Rams capture second place overall at the Greensboro Invitational.

The Rams are back in action Friday, October 7 competing at the Royal Cross Country Challenge hosted by Queens College in Charlotte, North Carolina.
