WINSTON-SALEM, N.C.- Winston-Salem State University head coach and defensive staff will be recognized at the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) convention in Charlotte, North Carolina on Sunday, January 8th.
Head Coach Robert Massey will also be speaking on a panel of head coaches, on several topics at the convention.
The Rams' defense (ranked nationally) led by defensive coordinator/defensive line Coach Markus McElveen will be recognized as the 2022 AFCA Minority Forum Defensive Staff of the Year.
Coach Eric Brown (LB), Coach Corey Stewart (DB), and defensive assistant Coach Isaiah McCain will all be in attendance to receive the award on Sunday.
