CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Asia Lampe from the Winston-Salem State University women's outdoor track and field team was named the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Field Athlete of the Week, the league announced Wednesday afternoon.

The Harrisburg, North Carolina native earned the honor after having the conference-leading marks in the shot put and discus at the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational last weekend in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. She finished with personal record marks of 12.28m and 41.48m, respectively.

Asia Lampe and the Rams will be back in action on March 23rd competing at the Moorehouse Relays in Atlanta, Georgia.
