WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -The Winston-Salem State University Outdoor Track and Field Team had a great showing at the Allen Connie Shamrock Invitational in Myrtle Beach South Carolina, at Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium.
 
How it happened – Track Events
Nykaya Ebron, Kelis Miller, Kyndall Barrow, and Taniyah Oates competed in the women's 100m qualifying round and finished with times of 12.87, 13.05, 13.05, and 13.12, respectively.
Ronee Tudor competed in the women's 100m dash preliminaries and finished with a time of 12.07.

Ronee Tudor, Kelis Miller, Erykah Baldwin, and I'Sheondra Powell finished with times of 25.64, 27.37, 28.04, and 28.54, respectively.

Daijon Lee, Kyla Houston, and I'Sheondra Powell competed in the women's 400m and finished with times of 1:00.93, 1:03.10, and 1:05.67, respectively.

Wynter Stample, Tamia Mclean, Vanessa Jones, Tinasia Davis, and Zynobia Ugbong competed in the women's 800m and finished with times of 2:30.42, 2:31.42, 2:36.76, 2:42.56, and 2:56.77, respectively.

Tamia Mclean, Wynter Stample, Zynobia Ugbong, and Vanessa Jones competed in the women's 1-mile run and finished with times of 5:55.94, 6:04.97, 6:43.62, and 5:50.12, respectively.

Jaynissa Cauthen and Tinasia Davis competed in the women's 400m hurdles and finished with times of 1:09.42 and 1:14.71.

The team of Jaynissa Cauthen, Daijon Lee, Kyndall Barrow, and Ronee Tudor finished seventh in the 4x100m relay with a time of 49.12. The team of Erykah Baldwin, Kelis Miller, Nykaya Ebron, and Taniyah Oates also competed in the 4x100 relay and finished with a time of 51.55.

The team of Erykah Baldwin, Jaynissa Cauthen, Kellis Miller, and Ronne Tudor finished tenth in the 4x200m relay with a time of 1:47.20. The team of Janiyah Ross, I'Sheondra Powell, Kennedy Alexander, and Taniyah Oates finished with a time of 1:50.04.

In the women's 4x400m relay, the team of Daijon Lee, Wynter Stample, Ronee Tudor and Tamia Mclean finished sixth with a time of 4:08.21. Also, Jaynissa Cauthen, Janiyah Ross, Kyla Houston, and Taniyah Oates competed and finished with a time of 4:17.48.

How It Happened Field- Field Events
Kennedy Alexander finished seventh in the high jump, 1.58m (5'2.25").

Angel Bowden finished eighth in the high jump, 12.47m (40'11")

Tionna Wilson, Angel Bowden, Erykah Baldwin, and Nia Hester competed in the women's long jump and finished with marks of 5.26m (17'3.25"), 4.70m (15'5"), 4.51 (14'9.75"), and 4.14m (13'7"), respectively.

Asia Lampe finished sixth in the women's shot put with a personal best mark of 12.28m (40'3.5"). Eriana Townes also competed in the women's shot put and finished with a mark of 9.41m (30'10.5").

Asia Lampe and Eriana Townes competed in the women's discus. Lampe finished in second with a personal best mark of 41.48m (136'1). Townes finished with a mark of 27.17m (89'2").

The Rams will be back in action Thursday, March 23rd-25th in Atlanta, Georgia for Morehouse Relays.
