HIGH POINT, N.C. -The Winston-Salem State University Outdoor Track and Field Team had a great showing at the Vertklasse Meeting, hosted by High Point University in High Point, North Carolina

How it happened – Track Events  
Amique Willis finished third in the women's 100m hurdles with a time of 14.81.
Nykaya Ebron, Sadiyah McGregor, Taniyah Oates, and Carrington Wise-Smith competed in the women's 100m dash and finished with times of 13.11, 13.11, 13.16, and 13.59, respectively.
Kelis Miller, Taniyah Oates, Nykaya Ebron, I'Sheondra Powell competed in the women's 200m and finished with times of 26.99, 27.16, 27.48, and 27.71, respectively.
Tamia Mclean, Wynter Stample, Kyla Houston, I'Sheondra Powell, Kelis Miller, and Imani Tatum competed in the women's 400m and finished with times of 59.49, 1:01.14, 1:02.43, 1:03.39, 1:05.89, and 1:07.90 respectively.
Vanessa Jones, Zyonbia Ugbong, and Jaiyah Nelson competed in the women's 800m and finished with times of 2:31.88, 2:48.91, and 2:51.99 respectively.
In the women's 1500m Vanessa Jones, Wynter Stample, and Tamia Mclean finished with times of 5:19.98, 5:25.36, 5:29.69.  
Jaynissa Cauthen competed in the women's 400m and finished with a time of 1:11.03. 

How It Happened Field- Field Events
Kennedy Alexander finished fourth in the women's high jump and finished with a mark of 1.63 (5'4.25").
Meaghan Wallace competed in the women's long jump and finished with a mark of 4.48m (14'8.5").
Jayla Warren competed in the women's triple jump and finished with a mark of 11.32m (37'1.75").
