WESTON, FLA. – The Winston-Salem State University men's golf team kicked off its spring campaign at the inaugural ARICS HBCU Collegiate Golf Championship at the Club at Weston Hill on the Players Course.
The event showcased 17 HBCU men's and women's golf teams in three rounds of competition starting with 36 holes on Sunday and the final round of 18 holes on Monday.
After the event, the Rams finished in fifth place with a team score of 962. R1 scores were 319, R2 was 332 and R3 was 311.
Alex Chenard had the highest score for the Rams, finishing tied for tenth with a score of 230 after three rounds.

The Rams will be back in action on March 3-5 hosting the Ram Shootout at the Pines in Pinehurst, North Carolina.
