Winston-Salem, N.C . - The Winston-Salem State University women's basketball team's win streak moves to ten, defeating University of Mount Olive 86-50, inside the C.E. Gaines Center. 
  
The Rams improved to (10-1, 2-0 CIAA) on the season.

Maia Charles led the Rams with a double-double of 26 points and 10 rebounds, followed by Jakaiya Mack and Makayla Waleed with 12 points each.

The Rams went 32-of-77 from the field, 7-of-23 from three, and 15-of-20 from the free-throw line. The Rams grabbed 40 rebounds, scored 46 points in the paint, forced 29 turnovers, scored 29 points off turnovers, and had 16 steals. 

 How It Happened
In the first quarter, the Trojans took an early 5-0 lead on a lay-up (8;32). WSSU went on an 8-0 run, taking an 8-5 lead on a Makayla Waleed lay-up (6:38). The Rams extended their lead to 17-9, on an Ah'Kiyah Pye lay-up (1:57).  WSSU took a 22-9 lead into the second quarter. 

In the second quarter, the Rams went on a 6-0 run, growing their lead to 28-9 on a Makayla Waleed three-pointer (9:04). Mount Olive went on a 8-0 run, cutting the Rams' lead to 30-17 (6:10). The Rams went on a 5-2 run, taking a 39-23 lead on a Makayla Waleed three-pointer (1:55). WSSU took a 41-26 lead into halftime. 

In the third quarter, a Makayla Waleed lay-up gave the Rams a 45-28 lead (7:21). A Jakaiya Mack three-pointer gave the Rams a 51-28 lead (4:39).  WSSU took a 59-34 lead into the fourth quarter. 

In the fourth quarter, the Rams took a 69-39 lead on a Ah'Kiyah Pye lay-up (6;38). The Rams took their largest lead of the game on a Jakaiya Mack lay-up (3:03).
