WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Charnessa Reid from the Winston-Salem State University women's indoor track and field team was named the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Track Athlete of the Week for week five, the league announced Tuesday morning.

Charnessa Reid had a great meet performance at the Bast-Cregger Invite. She won the 60m hurdle with a personal-best time of 8.64 breaking her own school record. Her mark makes her #14 in NCAA DII #1 Atlantic Region, and #1 CIAA.

Reid and the Rams will be back in action on Friday, February 7-8 at the Camel City Invitational in Winston-Salem, North Carolina at JDL.
