WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Lanyjah Gunter from the Winston-Salem State University women's indoor track and field team has been named the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Women's Field Athlete of the Week.

Junior jumper Lanyjah Gunter turned in a strong multi event performance, placing second in the long jump with a new personal best mark of 5.76 meters. She also finished eighth in the triple jump with a mark of 11.17 meters, contributing valuable results across the horizontal jumps. 

Gunter and the Rams will be back in action on Feb. 15-16 competing in the CIAA Indoor Track and Field Championships in Mill Spring, North Carolina.
