WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The Winston-Salem State University women's indoor track and field team will compete in one last gear up meet before the CIAA Indoor Track and Field Championships on Friday, February 7-8 running at the Camel City Invitational.

The Rams competed at the Bast-Cregger Multi Invitational in Roanoke, Virginia on February 1st.
Charnessa Reid broke the school record in the pentathlon with 1157 points and took first place. Other notable performances was the 4x400 relay team (
Asheika Smith,
Rainn Sheppard,
Elicia Bryant and
Daijion Lee) capturing first place.

The USTFCCCA weekly rankings, the Rams moved up a spot to #2.
CIAA Weekly Honors
For week five,
Charnessa Reid earned her second CIAA Women's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week.
Reid had a great meet performance at the Bast-Cregger Invite. She won the 60m hurdle with a personal-best time of 8.64 breaking her own school record. Her mark makes her #14 in NCAA DII #1 Atlantic Region, and #1 CIAA.
