WILMINGTON, N.C. – The Winston-Salem State University women's cross country team had a great showing in their season opener at the Wilmington Beach Blast hosted by UNC Wilmington.
How it Happened
In her first collegiate race with the Rams, Ava had a top-ten finish coming in seventh place as well as the highest team finish. She ran a time of 20:05.22. Following her was
Elicia Bryant who ran a time of 21:22.21 to come in 23
rd place.
Rainn Sheppard ran a time of 23:00.61 (34), and Leigh Willis ran a time of 24:28.08 (41).
Kayla Nobbles ran a time of 25:13.21 (43), and
Simone Kelly finished in 46
th with a time of 25:47.92.
The Rams will be back in action on Friday, September 12 at the Pfeiffer XC Invitational in Misenheimer, North Carolina.
