Women's Track and Field

Nine Rams Named to the 2026 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Atlantic All-Region Team

NEW ORLEANS – All Region honors for the 2026 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field season were announced by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross-Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) following the conclusion of the regular season.

Top-5 individual in each event from each region earned All-region honors, in addition to each of the members of a top 3 ranked relay team.

Only USTFCCCA member programs are eligible for awards.

For WSSU, the following student-athletes were selected:
4x400 relay team of Olivia Cosby, Rainn Sheppard, Asheika Smith and Leigh Wills
Brianna Benloss – 100m
Jaynissa Cauthen – 400m hurdles
Lanyjah Gunter – long jump
Leila Henderson – discus
Charnessa Reid – 100m hurdles, long jump
Rainn Sheppard – 800m, 1500m
Asheika Smith – 400m

Charnessa Reid and Rainn Sheppard are set to compete at the Division II NCAA Outdoor Championships in Emporia, Kansas on May 21-22.
