Winston-Salem, N.C. - The Winston-Salem State University women's basketball team defeated Shaw University 78-40, inside the C.E. Gaines Center.
The Rams improved to 22-2 (13-1 CIAA, 7-1 South) on the season.
This win gives Coach Terry the most wins in a single season.
Makayla Waleed led the Rams with 18 points, followed by
Kierran Walker chipping in with 14 points.

In the third quarter, the Rams outscored the Bears 19-6, taking a 63-24 lead into the fourth quarter.
In the fourth quarter, the Bears went on a 6-0 run, cutting the Rams lead to 65-30 on a lay-up (7:30). The Rams lead grew out to 40 points midway through the quarter.
