Charlotte, N.C. - The Winston-Salem State University women's basketball team defeated Johnson C. Smith University 65-55, inside the Brayboy Gymnasium.
The Rams improved to 23-2 (14-1 CIAA, 8-1 South) on the season.
Maia Charles led the Rams with 25 points, followed by Nevaeah Farmer with 13 points, and Breonna chipped in with 10 points.

Kierran Walker three-pointer (3:07). WSSU took a 40-22 lead into halftime.
In the third quarter, the Golden Bulls went on a 10-2 run, cutting the lead to 42-32 on a jumper (8:12). The Rams went on a 7-1 run, taking a 49-31 lead on a
Maia Charles jumper (2:23). WSSU took a 49-37 lead into the fourth quarter.
In the fourth quarter, WSSU went on a 6-2 run, extending their lead to 55-39 on a
Breonna Roaf lay-up (7:04). JCSU went on a 12-4 run, cutting the lead to 59-51 on a three-pointer (3:09). The Lady Rams sealed the game at the free-throw line.
