#15 Lady Rams Fall to Livingstone in Regular Season Finale Saturday Afternoon

Salisbury, N.C. -  The Winston-Salem State University women's basketball team fell to Livingstone College 61-54, inside the New Trent Gymnasium.

The Rams moved to 23-3 (14-2 CIAA, 8-2 South) on the season.

Alana Biosse led the Rams with a season-high 16 points, followed by Breonna Roaf with a double-double of 14 points and 10 rebounds, and Maia Charles chipped in with nine points and a season-high 19 rebounds.

The Rams went 21-of-83 from the field, 4-for-19 from three, and 8-of-17 from the free-throw line, grabbed 59rebounds, forced 17 turnovers, and scored 28 points in the paint.  
 
 How It Happened
In the first quarter, the Blue Bears took an 8-0 lead on a lay-up (6:59). The Rams went on a 7-2 run, cutting the lead to 12-10 on a Alana Biosse three-pointer (2:28). An LC three-pointer as time expired gave them a 19-14 lead going into the second quarter. 

In the second quarter, WSSU went on a 6-0 run, taking a 20-19 lead on a Alana Biosse three-pointer (6:40). A Makayla Waleed lay-up gave the Rams a 25-24 lead (2:10). LC took a 27-25 lead into halftime. 

In the third quarter, the Blue Bears took a 31-25 lead on a lay-up (9:11). WSSU went on a 7-2 run, cutting the lead to 33-32 on a Jakaiya Mack free-throw (5:34). A Alana Biosse three-pointer made the score 38-37 LC (2:52). WSSU closed out the quarter on a 5-2 run, as the game was tied 43-43 going into the fourth quarter. 

In the fourth quarter, an Alana Biosse lay-up gave the Rams a 47-44 lead (7:20). LC went on a 10-0 run, taking a 55-49 lead on a lay-up (2:31). A Breonna Roaf lay-up cut the lead to 55-53 (1:36). LC closed the game out on a 6-1 run.

The Lady Rams will travel to Baltimore, Maryland, participating in the CiAA Tournament starting on February 24.
