BOCA RATON, FLA - Winston-Salem State will travel to Boca Raton, FL, to participate in the Embassy Suites Boca Raton Invitational, where they will face Lynn University on Friday, Dec. 19th, and Barry University on Dec. 20th,to close out the first part of season, and take off for the Christmas Holiday.

In the last outing for Winston-Salem State, the Rams overcame a bad shooting night from behind the 3pt arc, but still managed to come away with a big 80-75 regional win over Fairmont State on Saturday.

Leading the scoring for the Rams was WyKevin Bazemore who had an excellent night, with a season high 23 points, 17 rebounds, two steals and a blocked shot. Marquez Jones added 14 points, three steals, three assists and two rebounds, and Terrell Leach came off the bench to chip in 13 points, seven steals, five rebounds and two assists. Donta Harper finished with 10 points, three rebounds and an assist.

WSSU will return to action on Saturday, January 3rd at The Lincoln University, and Monday January 5th at Bowie State University, as CIAA conference action begins.
