BALTIMORE, MD. – Jaylon Gibson from the Winston-Salem State University men's basketball team was named to the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Frontcourt Team.

Jaylon Gibson is ranked eighth averaging 13.1 points per game and ninth 6.4 rebounds per game. For week five, Jaylon was named the CIAA Player of the Week after scoring 25 points in the victory over Clark Atlanta. He also had 11 rebounds and shot 9-of-14 from the field. For week 12, the Zebulon native was named CIAA Defensive Player of the Week after blocking 1 shot and grabbing 8 rebounds (five defensive). For week 13, Jaylon Gibson was named CIAA Defensive Player of the Week after blocking four shots and grabbing eight rebounds (four defensive) in an overtime win against St. Augustine's. Offensively, he finished with 17 points.

Jaylon Gibson and the Rams will be back in action on Wednesday, February 22nd at 12:10 p.m. when they take on St. Augustine University in the opening rounds of the CIAA tournament inside CFG Area.
