SALEM, Va. – The Winston-Salem State University women's cross country team concluded its season finishing second place at the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) cross country championship Thursday afternoon in Salem, Virgnia.
The Rams finished overall with a total of 96 points. Fayetteville finished in first place with 28 points and Lincoln rounded out the top three with a score of 113.
Elicia Bryant had a top ten finish for the Rams, capturing tenth place with a time of 20:05.8.
Briyana Tillman finished in 19th place with a time of 21:15.2 and right behind her was teammate
Jaiyah Nelson finishing with a time of 21:18.6.
Tinasia Davis finished in 23rd place with a time of 21:47.1 and Kayla Nobbles came in 24th place with a time of 22:02.5.
Rainn Sheppard ran a time of 22:19.1 to finish in 28th place and
Daijion Lee ran a time of 24:13.5.
The Lady Rams was also recognized as the Women's Highest GPA award honorees for having a GPA above a 3.5.
