Winston-Salem, N.C. - The Winston-Salem State University women's track and field team performed great at Camel City Invitational
Highlights include Lanyjah Gunter finishing second in the long jump (5.76m), also teammate Trinity Brooks finished in 3rd place (5.73m). Jaynissa Cauthen finished in 7th place in the 400m with a time of 59.62
How it Happened
• Four Rams finished in the top 35 in the 200m, Kamauree Randolph finished in 12th place (25.60) while teammates Malaysia Gaberiel came in 26th (26.43), Janelle Codington finished 27th (26.44), and Zaniah Field finished 34th (26.63).
• Four Rams finished in the top 25 in the 60m Prelims. Brianna Benloss had a top-15 finish in 14th place with a time of 7.55 while teammates Candace Morris finished 18th (56.22), Zaniah Field finished 13th (7.88), and Trinity Brooks finished 24th (7.93).
• In the 400m, Asheika Smith (7th), Olivia Cosby (17th), Simone Kelly (23rd), Leigh Wills (25th). Their times were 55.94, 58,03, 59,18, 59,37, respectively.
• Brooke Packingham came in 30th place in the long jump (5.07).
The Rams will participate in the CIAA Track & Field Championships on February 15 and 16 in Mill Springs, North Carolina.
