Rams Take 9-0 Loss Against Pfeiffer

Box Score

WINSTON-SALEM, NC – The Winston-Salem State Rams (22-21) could not get their offense in gear when the team took a 9-0 loss to the Pfeiffer Falcons (31-15) in the final home game of the season for the Rams. The Rams' offense was held in check in the tough loss as the team was held scoreless on just four hits.

As a team, the Rams totaled four hits in the game. WSSU freshman short stop Destiny Snipes led the way with a two-for-two effort with a triple. Junior third base Rebecca Demko added a hit while freshman Jasmine Holloman added a hit of her own.

WSSU junior Chyna Riley (7-8) took the pitching loss, going all five innings with nine runs allowed (five earned) with four walks.

With the loss, the Rams fall to 22-21. The team will return to action this weekend when they close the season with a pair of Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Southern Division doubleheaders against defending champion Saint Augustine's and the Shaw Lady Bears.
