WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The Winston-Salem State University women's outdoor track and field team will compete in the CIAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships May 5-6 in Durham, North Carolina.
Last year the Rams were named the Co-Champions alongside Fayetteville State.

The Rams competed at the Aggie Classic in Greensboro, North Carolina on April 21st-22nd. Key takeaway was Kellis Miller setting a personal record in the 100m with a time of 12.94.
Vanessa Jones also had PR in the 1500m with a time of 5:03.85.
Kennedy Alexander finished in third place in the women's high jump with a mark of 1.60m (5'3").
Athletes of the Weeks
Amique Willis won Track Athlete of the Week for week three, The Kingston, Jamacia native earned the honor after finishing third in the women's 100m hurdles with a time of 14.81 at the Vertklasse Meeting in High Point, N.C.
At the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational,
Asia Lampe set new personal records in both the shot put and discus throw. The junior from Harrisburg, NC had a mark of 41.48 meters in the discus, placing second at the meet. In the shotput, Lampe was sixth with a distance of 12.28 meters. Both of those marks place her first in the CIAA in this early outdoor track & field season. In the discus, she is first in the Division II Atlantic Region.
