Greensboro, NC. – The Winston-Salem State University women's outdoor track and field team competed at the two-day Aggie Invitational breaking more school records and showing great improvement during the meet.
Rainn Sheppard broke another school record in the 1500m with a time of 4:37.69 and broke her own record in the 800m with a time of 2:08.38.

In the 1500m,
Elicia Bryant ran a time of 5:00.57 to finish 15th,
Ava Millner finished 19th with a time of 5:05.89 and
Kayla Nobles came in 26th with a time of 5:20.62.
Charnessa Reid finished in seventh place in the 100 hurdle finals with a time of 13.81.
In the 400 hurdle finals
Jaynissa Cauthen (11) finished with a time of 1:02.31,
Layla Simpson (13) finished with a time of 1:02.46,
Amiliana Simmons (23) finished with a time of 1:06.53 and
Keianna Mims (25) finished with a time of 1:14.11.
The foursome of
Trinity Brooks,
Malayasia Gabriel,
Brooke Packingham and
Charnessa Reid ran a time of 48.55 to finish 16th in the 4x100 relay.
Jaynissa Cauthen,
Rainn Sheppard,
Olivia Cosby and
Leigh Wills ran the 4x400 relay with a time of 3:51.29 to come in 8th place.
Layla Simpson,
Ava Millner,
Brianna Benloss, and
Charnessa Reid ran a time of 4:07.48 finishing in 13th.
On the field side,
Charnessa Reid finished in sixth place in the high jump (1.60m) and fourth place in the long jump (5.86m).
Trinity Brooks finished ninth in the long jump (5.71m),
Lanyjah Gunter (11th 5.58m) and
Brooke Packingham (28th 5.04m).
Coming in 10th in the triple jump,
Lanyjah Gunter had a mark of 11.60m and
Brooke Packingham had a mark of 10.98m to finish 18th.
In the shot put,
Leila Henderson finished sixth with a 13.30m mark,
Maeghan Wallace had a mark of 22.75m finishing 12th,
Kaylee Thomas had a mark of 11.73m to finish 13th and
Jazmin Terry finished with a mark of 10.12m to finish 22nd.

Zion Cosby finished with a mark of 32.82m to finish in 21st,
Alaina Moody finished with a mark of 31.57m to finish 23rd, and
Jazmin Terry finished with a mark of 27.53m to finish 24th.
The Rams will be back in action competing at the CIAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships May 1-2 in Petersburg, Virginia.
