WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Charnessa Reid from the Winston-Salem State University women's indoor track and field team was named the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Track Field Athlete of the Week for week six, the league announced Tuesday morning.

Reid had a great showing on the field side at the Camel City Invitational this past weekend. She finished in second place in the long jump with a mark of 5.53m 18'0.1"). On the track side she also broke her own school record in the hurdles with a time of 8:63 and did it for the fourth time this season.

Reid and the Rams will be back in action this weekend, February 16-17 at the CIAA Indoor Track and Field Championships at JDL in Winston-Salem, N.C.
