WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Charnessa Reid from the Winston-Salem State University track and field team has been named the CIAA Field Athlete of the Week, the league announced Tuesday afternoon.

In the first outdoor meet of the season, Reid finished in third place in the long jump with a mark of 5.58m (18-03.75) at the Weems Baskin Invite hosted by University of South Carolina. She had the highest finish among all DII competition.

Reid and the Rams will be back in action on Saturday, March 29 at the Blue Bear Invite hosted by Livingstone College in Salisbury, North Carolina.
