WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Charnessa Reid from the Winston-Salem State University women's track and field team was named the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Track Athlete of the Week for week five.

Charnessa is not slowing down during outdoor season, she captured first place in the 100mH with a time of 13.92 at the Blue Bear Invitational. Her time set another school record, ranks her first in the CIAA, and the Atlantic Region, and 7th in DII.
 
Reid and the Rams will be back in action this weekend, April 4-5 at the VertKlasse Meet hosted by High Point University in High Point, North Carolina.
