WINSTON-SALEM, NC - For the fifth week in a row,
Charnessa Reid from the Winston-Salem State University track and field team has been named the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Women's Track Athlete of the Week, the league announced Tuesday afternoon.
Charnessa Reid spent another weekend breaking more school records for the Rams at the Aggie Invitational. In the hurdles she set a new school record with a time of 13.32 finishing above all the attached runners in that race. She is also first in the CIAA and third in the DII.Â
On the field side, Charnessa finished with a new PR time in the high jump finishing sixth with a mark of 1.60m and she also finished sixth in the long jump with a mark of 5.86mÂ
Reid and the Rams will be back in action on May 3-4 competing at the CIAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Durham, North Carolina.
