WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – For the second week in a row,
Charnessa Reid from the Winston-Salem State University women's outdoor track and field team was named the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Women's Track Athlete of the Week for week six.
Reid, a junior form Winston-Salem, North Carolina ran a number one time of 13.36 in the 100mh at the VertKlasse meet hosted by High Point University. Her time ranks her first in the league, and in the nation.
She also is now ranked 19
th in the long jump with a personal-best mark of 5.89m and she finished in fifth place.
Reid and the Rams will be back in action this weekend on April 11 competing at Southside Power and Fitness Invitational hosted by Lenior-Rhyne in Hickory, North Carolina.
