DURHAM, N.C. – The Winston-Salem State University outdoor track and field team saw many top finishes and personal records set as the team finished in fifth place overall inside Durham County Stadium.
The Rams finished with 70 total points after the two-day event. Fayetteville State finished in first with 171.13 and Virginia State captured second (89). St. Augustine's (77.13) came in third and Shaw finished in fourth (72.26).
Kennedy Alexander, named the Field Athlete of the Year, captured her fourth consecutive individual title in the high jump with a mark of 1.65m.
Ronee Tudor finished in first place in the 100m with a time of 11.91.
Vanessa Jones had a huge personal-record finishing in third place in the 3K with a time of 10.55.75 and
Tamia McLean also saw a PR as she finished in second place in the 800m with a time of 2:16.38. The 4x100m relay team (Baldwin, Lee, Oates, and Tudor) captured third place with a time of 47.33.
