Derrick Beasley is enshrined into the C.E. “Big House” Athletic Hall of Fame for football. He is presently a deputy sheriff in Essex County. As an undergraduate Beasley was a two-time All-CIAA selection at cornerback for the Rams. He was named team Defensive Player of the Year in 1987. He was drafted in the fourth round (102^nd overall) by the New England Patriots in 1987 and was a member of the team until 1990. He and his wife Tina are the parents of four children Derrick (18), Blair (17), Elon (14), and Devon (8).
