Winston-Salem State University

Harold Clawson is inducted into the WSSU C.E. “Big House” Gaines Athletic Hall of Fame for his meritorious service to Winston-Salem State University and the WSSU Department of Athletics.  A retired school administrator from Charlotte, Clawson is responsible for sending more than 60 students to WSSU, on his recommendation, who participated as college student-athletes.  In addition to serving as a counselor to student-athletes, Clawson is estimated to have sent more than 500 students to WSSU.
