Winston-Salem State University

Inducted into the WSSU C.E. “Big House” Gaines Athletic Hall of Fame for his meritorious service to the university, Joseph “Jake” Suggs is honored for meritorious service.  He served as an official in the CIAA for twenty-five years and was inducted into the Conference Hall of Fame in February 2004.  He received a Bachelor of Science degree in health and physical education from WSSU in 1971.
