C.E. "Big House" Gaines Hall of Fame
Gary Raiford was a four-year letterwinner with the Winston-Salem State Rams. During his career he helped lead the Rams to a pair of Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) titles. He was a member of the Rams’ undefeated CIAA championship teams in 1977 and 1978. He was named a 1978 Ebony Sports Scoreboard All-American and also took home 1978 NAIA All-District honors. He was also selected to play in the Black College All-Star Bowl and was named to the All-CIAA team as a lineman in 1977. He also earned two letters in wrestling.
