Harold played his college basketball at The Winston-Salem State University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. HIs coach
was The Legendary Clarence “ Big House” Gaines. Coach Gaines had a 47 year coaching career at WSSU. He led The
Rams to 8 CIAA titles,and in 1967 led WSSU to a Division ll NCAA Championship,making The Rams the first historically
Black College, or University to capture a NCAA National Championship.
