Winston-Salem State University

The Winston-Salem State University Clarence E. "Big House" Gaines Athletic Hall of Fame is the highest individual honor that a former athlete, athletic administrator or private individual can receive at Winston-Salem State University. Restored by former WSSU Director of Athletics, Dr. Chico Caldwell in 2002, the WSSU C.E. Gaines Athletic Hall of Fame honors an annual class of new inductees in the fall of every academic year after an exhaustive year-long nomination, review, and induction voting process by a 15-member panel.
 
Inductees are available in three distinct categories with former athletes, former coaches, and those who have devoted countless hours of tireless work to the Athletic Department through meritorious service being eligible for enshrinement. The Hall of Fame selection committee will consider the applicants accomplishments as well as their financial contributions to the University.

How to Pay CE Gaines Hall of Fame Annual Dues

Annual Hall of Fame Dues: $50

Payments must be submitted through the official WSSU giving page and designated correctly to ensure proper allocation.

Step-by-Step Instructions

2. Enter Your Donation Amount
   1. Enter $50 for your annual Hall of Fame dues  (You may give more if you wish; however, $50 satisfies the dues requirement)
3. Select the Correct Designation
   1. Under Designation or Where would you like to give select:  Special Purpose – Athletic Hall of Fame
      ** This step is critical to ensure your payment is credited to the CE Gaines Hall of Fame
4. Add a Note (Strongly Recommended)
   1. In the Comments, Notes, or Additional Information field, please type:  "CE Gaines Hall of Fame Dues - YOUR NAME"
5. Complete Donor Information
   1. Enter your name, contact information, and payment details  
      *This information helps us properly credit your Hall of Fame record
6. Submit Your Payment
   1. Review your information and click Submit / Donate
7. You will receive an email confirmation once your payment is processed
